Melbourne based mining company Jervois Mining has struck a new deal for a joint venture with Chinese construction giant China Railway Group to exploit the resent boom in the mining of Nickel. Using this deal as a basis the town of Young in NSW could become a leading producer in the metal capable of mining fifty thousand tones per year. It is expected that the Chinese group in exchange will provide Jervois with funding and nickel processing technology in return for a 70% interest. 45 million dollars is expected to be needed to fund initial development.
